About State E-Mission Team​


 

State e-Mission Team(SeMT) has been established as part of Capacity Building initiative of DietY to hire resources with e-Governance experience to aid State Government. In Karnataka, SeMT is attached to Centre for e-Governance, SeMT acts as consulting wing of Centre for e-Governance and provide their services to departments as per National e-Governance Plan, Government of India. The plan is to aid the departments in assessing departmental capability and requirements with regards to e – governance initiatives in the state. SeMT, through its services provides technical consulting to the Departments of State in conceptualizing, sourcing, developing and implementing e-Governance Solutions.


 

 

SeMT team helps Departments in Development of short term and long term solutions in line with vision, mission and objectives for a particular department. SeMT team can help assess e– readiness of that department, identifying the gaps in current eGov eco system and helping the department to conceptualize and implement e – governance solutions in line with best practices and GoI and GoK guidelines.

 


Objective


 

The objective of SeMT team is to support heads of government departments and function as full time internal advisory body in undertaking e-Governance projects. To build capacity, sensitize and develop cadres within Departments in conceptualization, development, management and sustenance of e-Governance initiatives in the state of Karnataka.


 


Organization


 

SeMT Team consists of Consultants with speciality in following areas. Karnataka SeMT team has a sanctioned strength of 13 members with current staffing of 8 members

  • Technology Management.

  • Program Management.

  • Capacity Building & Change Management.

  • Financial Management.


 


Services


 

  • Reviews/Preparation of RFP.

  • Bid Process Management.

  • As-is Study, Gap analysis and conceptualization of TO-BE solution in discussion with department.

  • Participating in departments’ e-Governance meetings as advisors.

  • Helping in framing of policies involving e-Governance, including security, data management, e-Governance standards.

  • Organize and impart trainings for Government Officials.

  • Create awareness about Best Practices and e-Governance Standards.
