About SSDG​​


State Portal and SSDG Project has been formulated under the National e- Governance Plan (NeGP). NeGP aims to make all Government services accessible to common man, in his locality, over internet and through Common Services Centres (CSCs).


To create an infrastructure that will Expand, Integrate and enhance the reach of the services provided by the Government to citizens and possibly business customers as well.


Features of SSDG are:

  • Interoperable among Various Departments Applications.

  • Seamless exchange of Data.

  • Secure with PKI Support and XML.

  • 24 X 7 Availability.

Objective

  • Implement SSDG Middle ware.

  • Design and Develop State Portal and e-Form Application.

  • Achieve effective Integration among various Dept. Applications.

  • Provide Training.

  • Provide Gap Infrastructure (PCs, Printers, UPS and Scanner).



Services


Key activities/achievements during the year

  • A meeting with Additional Chief Secretary, Deputy Director General, NIC and Additional Mission Director, Sakala was held to discuss the adoption of State Portal and SSDG platform as the IT solution for Government Services under the Sakala Programme.

  • Held requirements gathering discussions with Electrical Inspectorate and Education Departments.

  • Several meetings were held with System Integrators, Sakala Mission, CDAC & CEG to discuss on prevailing challenges and issues with the SSDG product.

  • A Technical advisory Panel (TAP) meeting to seek guidance and also to discuss on the status and challenges of the SP & SSDG project.

  • The RFP for implementing e-forms application through State Portal and SSDG was updated further.

  • While conducting Proof of Concept, CEG had faced several technical and support issues related to CDAC’s middleware product. These issues were raised with CDAC, however these issues were not resolved by CDAC. Therefore CEG could not implement the project during the year. The issues were flagged to the Government of India.
