Introduction​


E-Governance division is a part of the Department of personnel and Administrative Reforms. it was established in the year 2003. Department of personnel Administrative and Reforms (e-Governance) Government facilitates acceleration of IT-enabling of processes for increased transparency and efficiency in administration and better delivery of services to citizens electronically.

Officers


Principal Secretary to Government, Department of personnel and Administrative Reforms (e-Governance) is the head of the department assisted by an Additional secretary to Government and two Desk officers. The services of some officers and staff of the Directorate of information Technology have also been obtained.

Subordinate Offices


There are two subordinate organisations, namely, centre for e-Governance and  Directorate of Electronic Delivery of citizen Services under Department of personnel Administrative and Reforms (e-Governance). Centre for e-Governance is a society Department registered under the Registration of societies Act. it implements various projects of the of personnel and Administrative Reform, (e-Governance) such as the  Karnataka as the Karnataka Government secretariat Local Area Network (SECLAN), state Data centre, Management state wide Area Network (KSWAN), e-procurement, Human Resource system (HRMS), Aadhaar, Karnataka state web portal Directorate etc. The of Electronic Delivery of citizen services implements Bangalore one  (integrated Citizen Service Centers) Project and Karnataka One (integrated Citizen Service Centers) Project in tier two cities of Karnataka. Rural Digital Services (Nemmadi) Project has been transferred from the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (e-Governance) to Revenue Department as per the Government Order No: RD 33 DSP 2012, dated: 05.06.2012.​
