1.       Title and Commencement:- (1) These Rules may be called The Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Services (Drugs Control Department Non-teaching staff) (Recruitment) Rules, 2013.

2.       Method of Recruitment and minimum Qualification:- In supersession of Notification No: DPAR/59/SRD/2000, Bangalore, dated 22nd October 2002 the establishment of state service cadre in respect of The Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Services (Drugs Control Department ) (Non-teaching staff) shall consist of such category of posts with scales of pay specified in column (2) of the schedule.  The number and nature of posts, the method of recruitment and the minimum qualification, if any, shall be as specified in the corresponding entries in column (3), (4), (5) (6) and (7) thereof.

 3.       Repeal and Saving:- The Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Services (Drugs Control Department Non-teaching staff) (Recruitment) Rules, 2002 are hereby repealed.

           Provided that such repeal shall not affect –

  1.  the previous operation of the said rule or anything duly done or suffered thereunder; or
  2. any right, privilege, obligation or liability already acquired, accrued or incurred under the said rules.

1)  Must have put in a service of not less than five years in the cadre specified in column (6). 

      Provided that if officers who have put in a service of not less than five  years are not available an officer who has put in not less than three years of service may be considered for promotion.

2)  Must have qualification specified under rule 50A of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945.

Must have an experience of not less than five years in testing of items included in Schedule "C" to the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 in an institution approved by the Government.
