​Subject : Opening of 25 bedded Ayurvedic Hospital at Shimoga

Correspondence resting with D.O. letter No. ISM&H/Dev/2357/77-78 dated 14.2.1975 from the Director of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Bangalore.

PREAMBLE:

The question of starting an Ayurveda Hospital at Shimoga City has been under consideration of Government from some time past.  The Director of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Bangalore has submitted proposal for opening of 25 bedded Government Ayurvedic Hospital at Shimoga with the staff and expenditure.

ORDER NO. HFW 303 PIM 76 BANGALORE DATED THE 24TH/25TH APRIL 1979

Government are pleased to accord sanction to the starting of 25 bedded Ayurvedic Hospital at the campus of the Mc Gann Hospital, Shimoga, during 1978-79 in the existing A.N.M.'s hostel and also by using two Nishan Scheds, temporarily till such time as permanent arrangement is made regarding accommodation.

Sanction is also accorded to the staff and recurring and non-recurring expenditure as indicated in the Annexure to this Government Order.

The expenditure will be met from the grants provided for this purpose during the year 1978-79 under the Head of Account 280 Medical B. Other Systems of Medicine BIB-VI opening of 100 bedded hospitals in District (25 bedded Ayurvedic Hospital, Bijapur and Shimoga within the plan allocation".

This order issues with the occurrence of the planning department and the Finance Department vide their unofficial note No. PD 104 dated 8.2.1978 and FD/483/Exp III/78 dated 1.3.1978.
