I am extremely grateful to the Government of
Karnataka and to the leadership of the Congress party for appointing me
Chairman of the prestigious Coastal Development Authority. I took charge on
November 27th 2014.
The Coastal Development Authority has been assigned
the task of preparing Preliminary Scheme Reports (PSR) and Detailed Project
Reports (DPR) for possible developmental work that can and should be carried
out for the betterment of the living conditions of citizens in the Coastal
Districts of Karnataka (Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada).
My vision is to accelerate the process of inclusive
growth and of providing basic infrastructure that would improve the living
standards of the coastal population. I will dedicate my time to travel
extensively in these districts which I believe will enable me to interact with
different sections of people and to see for myself what projects have been
implemented and what in turn needs to be planned for our future.
I look forward to hearing from the public at large
on any advice they would like to give me on the work of the CDA. I promise to
do my best and seek the blessing of our citizens along with the co-operation of
elected representatives and implementing agencies in my endeavor.
