​Admission ​Policy


Our student community reflects the variety and diversity of our nation. Free and Fair transparent admission policy helps us to achieve this. A very large number of enthusiastic and meritorious students apply every year.

For Undergraduate (B.Sc) Course
Maharani’s Science College for Women, Bangalore, affiliated to Bangalore University runs B.Sc  course on campus. The following combinations are offered to students: PCM, PMCs, PME, CBMi, CZMi, CBBt, CZBt, CBZ, BiSBt, BiBZ, CBS, BZP, BiGS, EMSt.
Admissions for B.Sc course is done on the basis of the overall percentage of marks scored in qualifying exam and based on the roster system as specified by the Government of Karnataka.

Applications for the Admission to B.Sc will be issued in the College Office after the declaration of results of PUC. Admissions will be done after the selection list is announced in the college notice board.

For Postgraduate (PG) Course

Maharani’s Science College for Women, Bangalore, affiliated to Bangalore University runs M.Sc  course  in  Microbiology, Biochemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) on campus.

Admissions for M.Sc is done by the Bangalore University. The college has no role in the selection of students for PG course. Applications are invited after the declaration of B.Sc results and the aspiring students should apply to the Bangalore University and opt for Maharani’s Science College for Women during the centralized counseling and seat allotment process.

Admissions for MCA is done by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The college has no role in the selection of students for MCA course. PGCET Exam is conducted after the declaration of UG results and the aspiring students after getting the ranking in PGCET should appear and opt for Maharani’s Science College for Women during the centralized counseling and seat allotment process.

Admission to the Hostel
The college runs a hostel on campus for undergraduate and postgraduate students, at which preference is given for students from Karnataka. The rooms are all meant for three or four occupants each. Admission is not guaranteed and the Hostel Superintendent will accept applications only after admission to the College has been secured.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Under Graduate Course
After collecting the application form the student should submit the following documents to the college office

  • Duly filled in application with a passport size photograph pasted to it.
  • Three passport size photographs
  • Attested copy of the SSLC/10th marks card
  • Attested copy of the qualifying exam (II PUC/12th Grade)
  • SC/ST students – Attested copy of the Caste Certificate issued by the Authorised Officer, with a validity of 5 years.
  • Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB – Attested copy of the Caste and Income Certificates issued by the Revenue Officer in the format prescribed by the Govt.
  • Attested copy of the Migration certificate for students from outside Karnataka.

After the selection list is announced the students can walk-in for admissions with the original certificates and full fees.
Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

 

Post Graduate Course

After opting for Maharani’s Science College for PG course in the centralised admission counselling at Bangalore University the candidate should report with the seat allotment letter to the Principal.

After collecting the College application form the student should pay the prescribed college fees and submit the original certificates for admission.
