Crop Database of FPO members:

One of the most important strategies is to watch how the farmers are following approved Package of Practices (POP). It is also important to advise farmers at various stages so that they don’t skip important tasks as per POP. Equally important for buyers are to know who is growing what and when the crop would be ready? It is also important that the crop is mapped on a GIS platform so that the logistics can be worked out.

Government of Karnataka will put in placea software system for this purpose. PPPIHD partner companies would be able to push their Package of Practices to farmers and watch its compliance. It would also be possible for them to plan their purchase every week as probable harvest dates of each farmer would be known through the software system.
