CENTRAL RELIEF COMMITTEE BANGALORE (CRC)
308.03 acres of land was taken possession during 1944 for the Relief and Rehabilitation of Nirashritharu in Survey Nos. of Srigandha Kaval and Sajjepalya of Yeshwanthapur, Bangalore North Taluk. The buildings were constructed during 1948 for the Relief and Rehabilitation programmes of the Nirashritharu. Dormitories with all facilities provided for their stay during the detaining period.
Central Relief Committee comes under Social Welfare Department extensivly works on rehabilitation of Beggars. It provides not only shelter and hygenic food but also gives training on various skills and strives for better living of Beggars.
 
 
Citizen Charter
 
  • Section 3 of Karnataka prohibition of Beggary Act, 1975 prohibits begging.
  • Do not Encourage Begging by Giving Alms.
  • Begging is punishable up to Three years under Section 12 of Karnataka Prohibition of Beggary Act, 1975.
