There are a number of legislation which govern collection of funds.  These are listed below.  To access the document, click on the name of the Act.

CHIT FUNDS ACT 1982 - An Act to provide for the regulation of chit funds and for matters connected therewith.

INSURANCE REGULATORY AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ACT, 1999 - An Act to provide for the establishment of an Authority to protect the interests of holders of insurance policies, to regulate, promote and ensure orderly growth of the insurance industry and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto and further to amend the Insurance Act, 1938, the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 and the General Insurance Business(Nationalisation) Act, 1972.

THE KARNATAKA CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT, 1959. - An Act to consolidate and amend the laws relating to co-operative societies in the State of Karnataka.

THE KARNATAKA PUBLIC MONEYS (RECOVERY OF DUES) ACT, 1979 - An Act to provide for the speedy recovery of certain classes of dues.

THE KARNATAKA SOUHARDA SAHAKARI ACT, 1997 - An Act to provide for recognition, encouragement and voluntary formation of Co-operatives based on self-help, mutual aid, wholly owned, managed and controlled by members as accountable, competitive, self-reliant and economic enterprises guided by co-operative principles and matters connected therewith.

THE KARNATAKA MONEY-LENDERS ACT, 1961 - An Act to regulate the transactions of money-lending in the State of Karnataka.

THE KARNATAKA PROTECTION OF INTEREST OF DEPOSITORS IN FINANCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS ACT, 2004 - An Act to provide for protection of Interest of depositors in Financial Establishments and matters relating thereto.

RESERVE BANK OF INDIA ACT, 1934 - An Act to constitute a Reserve Bank of India to regulate the issue of Bank notes and the keeping of reserves with a view to securing monetary stability in India and generally to operate the currency any credit system of the country to its advantage; also deals with other functions related to regulation of financial system.

Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 [As amended by the Securities Laws(Amendment) Act, 2 - An Act to provide for the establishment of a Board to protect the interests of investors in securities and to promote the development of, and to regulate, the securities market and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
