2. ORGANISATION CHART

A chart showing the organisation set up of the Department of Town Planning is given below.

Department of Town Planning is a major department. The Directorate of Town Planning is functioning in Bangalore, the State capital, and the Joint Directors of Town Planning, Deputy Directors of Town Planning and Assistant Directors of Town Planning assist the Director along with supporting technical and administrative staff.

There are four revenue divisions in the State. The Directorate in Bangalore looks after Bangalore Division directly and Joint Directors of Town Planning look after other three divisions. There are 30 branch offices mostly situated in district headquarters and important towns, which are headed by the Assistant Director of Town Planning.
