Organisational Development is a method by which reforms can be brought about in the Department of Health & Family Welfare. A result oriented approach can be adopted by doing things in better, newer, acceptable and accountable ways:

i. Human Resource Development programme for capacity building.
ii. Reorganization of the Department.
iii. Restructuring of Strategic Planning Cell.
iv. Model Public Health Act.
v. State level Healthcare Accreditation and Regulatory Authority.
vi. Public Health Orientation.
vii. Medical and Clinical Manuals.
viii. Incentive schemes. 

Organisational Development also envisages attitudinal change, development of better skills and knowledge, behavioural change communication to strengthen integrity, recognition & rewarding to promote better services, counselling for recruitment, transfer & promotion and refurbishing methods of accountability of health care services.​
