Delivery Points will ensure assured services 24X7 hours of Mother and Child Care like ANC, Intrapartum, Post Natal, New born and Child Care. They will also provide quality Family Planning services both spacing and permanent methods. 24X7 PHCs and FRUs Doctors and Staff Nurses will be trained for insertion of PPIUCD, as more emphasis will be laid on PPIUCD this year. FRUs will also provide Comprehensive Abortion Services and the required training will be provided to the doctors. These delivery points will be provided additional MBBS doctors, Staff Nurses and Specialists (Obstetricians, Anesthetists and Pediatricians) as per the guidelines of GOI.

As per NHM norms, Sub Centers conducting more than 3 deliveries per month, PHCs conducting more than 10 deliveries per month, CHCs/Taluk Level Hospitals conducting more than 20 deliveries per month and District Hospitals & Medical College Hospitals conducting more than 50 deliveries per month are considered as Delivery Points. Up to end of December 2014, 1042 Delivery Points are functioning in Karnataka; the details of functioning Delivery Points are as follows:
