Whereas, The Institute of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology Act, 2013 (Karnataka Act No. 35 of 2013) has been published on 15.3.2013 in the Special Issue of Karnataka Gazette and it is notified that all the provisions of the said Act shall come into effect from 2nd April, 2013.
Whereas, the Foundations for Revitalisations of local Health Traditions, Bangalore has submitted a proposal in accordance with and in follow up of Section 3 of the Institute of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology Act, 2013 for establishment of an University of unitary in nature.
Whereas, the proposal submitted by the Foundation for Revitalisation of local Health Traditions, Bangalore for establishment of Unitersity of unitary in nature has sent to a Screening Committee constituted as per section of 3(4) of the said Act consisting of three ex-officio members of Karnataka State Higher Education Council, for examination and submitting a report. Since the said Committee has submitted its report along with its recommendations.
Government, having examined the report submitted by the Screening Committee consisting of three members of Karnataka State Council for Higher Education, and ensuring that the foundation has required infrastructure and other related requirements and foundation is capable of establishing an institution has accepted the report.
Whereas, the Foundation was directed to establish a Permament Statutory Endowment Fund of not less than Rs. 25.00 crores as per section 47 of the Act and Government having received the information about establishing a Permanent Statutory Endowment Fund. Government in accordance with The Institute of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology Act, 2013 and in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 4(2) of the Act and subject to provisions contained therein thereby accords permission to Foundation for revitalisation of Local Health Traditions, Bangalore for establishment of an University of unitary in nature as an Institution in private sector under the "The Institute of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology" in the State.
