​​​Procurement of Essential AYUSH drugs to hospitals, dispensaries​​ and outdoor wings


Central Assistance for supply of Essential drugs to hospitals and dispensaries as a part of erstwhile centrally sponsored scheme has been been continued in the National AYUSH Mission.  SAAP 2014-15 provides for purchase of medicines and approval of procurement of medicines under AYUSH services.  For this purpose an amount of Rs. 876.21 lakhs was earmarked during 2014-15. Allocation for  AYUSH services under this activity envisaged following allocation of funds:

Under NAM in SAAP 2015 the activity comprises of supply/procurement of essential drugs to 558 Government Ayurvedic Dispensaries and 49 Government Unani Dispensaries (Total 607 dispensaries) in the rural areas in the state with a grant assistance of 0.75 lakh per dispensary was sanctioned.  (Rs. 0.75 lakhs x 607 dispensaries=Rs. 455.25 lakhs.
