• KJA and KUIDFC organized one day 'Knowledge Seminar on Strategies for Wastewater Management and Sanitation' for the Key players involved in Urban Wastewater Management on June 19, 2015. This seminar brought together experts, strategists and Officials of GoK in Urban Development, Water Management and Program Implementation. It was congregated to bring focus and discuss a scientific perspective to the problem of waste water management in urban areas. The seminar was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister for Higher Education & Tourism Sri. R V Deshpande in the august presence of Dr. K Kasturiranga, Chairman, Karnatak Jnana Aayoga, Dr. Mihir Shah, Water Expert and Former Member of Planning Commission, Dr. Isher Judge Ahluwalia, Sri. Satyamurthy, ACS, Urban Development Department, GoK and Sri.   • Karnataka Jnana Aayoga in association with Bangalore University conducted 2 day Workshop on ‘Assessing Technologies for Higher Education’ on June 16-17, 2015, to know, to understand and to assess the role of Technology in enhancing the quality of education, imparting of knowledge and to ensure easy of access to education at the University level for Students, Teachers and  Administrators. Over 200 Teaching staff and 10 Technology companies participated in the workshop. This workshop was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister for Higher Education Sri. R V Deshpande in the presence of Prof. Thimme Gowda, Vice Chancellor, Bangalore University, Dr. B N Suresh, Director, IIE & Dr. Balakrishna Shetty, Vice Chancellor, Sri.   • The Government of Karnataka, on June 2, 2015, has formally approved and issued a Government Order for the 'Establishment of Karnataka Geographic Information System (K-GIS)' under the Dept. of Information Technology and Bio-Technology and S&T.
