Nature of duties in the current placement
  1. Establish the Karnataka Evaluation Authority, an autonomous body of Planning Dept on a firm footing as a technical agency with unique capabilities.
  2. Engage with all the Govt departments and Agencies and aid evidence based policy making and program implementation in Government of Karnataka.

  1. PhD Thesis on ‘Facilitating Adaptation to Climate Change: A case study of Chitradurga District’ submitted to IIM, Bangalore in 2012.
  2. Graduate dissertation on ‘Embedding Learning Culture through Externally Aided Projects in Forestry Sector” accepted by IIMB in 2005.
  3. Edited Karnataka Forest Department’s in house quarterly journal entitled ‘Myforest’ for four years (1996-2000).


Staffing Pattern of Karnataka Evaluation Authority

Karnataka Evaluation Authority (KEA) is headed by a Chief Evaluation Officer. There are two wings in KEA: Programme Wing headed by an Additional Chief Evaluation Officer and an Administrative Wing headed by An Administrative Officer. The Programme Wing is organized into five Divisions. Each Division has a Director, two Associate Directors and two Research Fellows. As a team, they take care of the evaluation needs of a group of related Line Departments/Agencies. There are five such divisions, each one in charge of five broad sectors viz., Social Services Sector, Natural Resources Management Sector, Development Sector, Infrastructure Sector and Regulatory Sector. All the State Government Departments have been assigned to one or the other of these five sectors. Routine evaluation needs of the departments are met by these Divisions. Special needs if any are taken care by the CEO and Addl CEO. Internal Administration of KEA is looked after by the Administrative Officer with the support of one Accounts officer, one Desk officer and a few clerical and ministerial staff. As of now, the sanctioned strength of staff in KEA is 40; 27 in the Programme Wing and the rest in the Administrative Wing. Posts are filled either by deputation or by contract appointments. As of now only CEO is appointed. For the rest of the posts, appointments will be made soon.
